@GreenThumb hi there! What type of poppy tea do you use? I am looking for ways to control my chronic pain. I have young kids so don’t want any type of mood/brain altering effects but also want to be an engaged mom who isn’t crying in the corner all the time due to pain.
Poppy tea is the original opioid so it will definitely affect your brain and mood the exact same way any other opioid will.

If you stick around the forum you’ll come across some other mild pk’s tho too that may help? It sucks that doctors have abandoned you…😔

I don’t know of any good spots to source the poppy tea makings these days tho. Hopefully @GreenThumb will chime in.

Best wishes! 🙏

totally agree, the poppy tea game is dead in the water, it died earlier this year when the last relevant poppy seed vendors shut their doors.

Back in the day I could get a giant box of pods for $100 bucks, they often would come from the poppy farms that used to be in Arizona, they all got busted. Was the beginning of the end. I got thebaine poisoning from using seeds though, that shit was scary

Were those great or what? Thick, purplish heads, insanely bitter tea, pain relief all day. No pharm drug could compare.
It ended quite suddenly in 2010 when the government fascists shut down the farms in Yuma. We had 10 glorious years of cheap poppy pods, you could order right off eBay, at it's peak, I recall seeing 10 pages of hits when you typed in "poppy pods".

I'm just lurking and have nothing of value to say other than you are a great parent. Being engaged with them when they're so little and active is incredibly hard when you're in pain, but so important. Been there, and just want to say that you are seen, and you are doing a great job.

I remember one summer I had a giant box of hens and chicks from the Arizona farms. I shit you not, these pods were all dark purple! they were FILLED with latex. I was in Opium heaven! To this day I have never in my life seen dark purple pods. They were so strong!

I've read several articles through the years of people trying to grow pods and getting caught, there has to be a way to find a far off spot and spread some seeds though.

@Just Alex, there you go, you mentioned my all-time favorite variety. I did a backyard grow of hens and chickens one year. I remember harvesting a dozen or so one weekend, I emptied out the seeds and baked the heads in my oven. There was so much freaking latex that the heads actually caramelized with shiny amber glaze all over them. I ground the caramelized pods into powder and brewed a tea that knocked my socks off - for 12 straight hours. You could have walloped me with a sledge hammer and I'dve just grinned my ass off at you.

I tried doing guerilla grows off and on, but never had any success, as the seeds never really germinated. The best luck I had was just scattering seed thickly in my garden and then gradually thinning them to about 6-8 inches spacing. One year, I planted the entire far backyard, I had an actual poppy field of white-pink flowers, the bumble bees became my best friends, as they just loved them. I could stand in the middle of the garden with swarms of happy bees and they never stung me once. I harvested box loads of pods that summer. How I never ended up with a mugshot and a felony is beyond me, I was totally out of control.

So, back on topic, a couple of observations on pseudoindoxyl. The only minor side effect I get is sweating an hour or two after I dose. Subjectively, it does not have quite the same feel as an opioid, but it does help with mood, similar to tramadol. Also, I'm already noticing tolerance creeping up on me, as I've had to boost my dose a bit over the last two days to stay out of w/d. Sleep has been just so-so, but that's always an issue for me, even with traditional opioids. All in all, this drug is a keeper, I was able to get through the stress of Christmas, family, etc, withdrawal free. That's damn good, considering that kratom leaf, by itself, can't touch my w/d anymore and will even aggravate it, if I take it too soon after an opioid.

Thanks so much for your insight!! It is such a struggle to be ignored and gaslit by doctors. I’m also a prescriber so it’s wild to me the things doctors will say thinking I don’t know what I’m talking about

@jaders I don’t know how to access the black market. I have been able to get Nefopam via telemedicine. I’ve tried poppy tea with the dust on unwashed seeds. Maybe I should get more of those.

Unfortunately to get to the inner sanctum of pharmacy secrets on this forum, I need to make sure my comments are over 100 words so I’m talking a lot of excess fluff to pad out my posts.

Anyway, I have been pretty good at finding international pharmacies and googling search terms with Reddit to find people talking about resources. Might need to learn to access the dark web at some point. It’s very upsetting that so many of us have to be our own doctors even when we have access to medical. I saw an NHS dr yesterday. It’s just always more blood tests and nothing is ever in the blood tests. So they do nothing for me. And I don’t want their stupid amitryptaline.

Honestly, doctors are horrible. I want more prescribers to call them out! They treat us like children. Sure there are some low IQ mid and dim wits out there, but many of us do our own research. I often find that the doctor I am dealing with is no expert and is quite ignorant on the issue. Even with specialists, they still have a broad overview of related conditions but aren’t always deep diving into every condition, and they usually are not up to date on all the research. I hate doctors at this point. Nothing is more irritating than condescension and arrogance coming from a place of ignorance. They all need to be cut down to size. We should stop worshiping them as a culture. I want the right to prescribe for myself, I’d do better than these nitwits in white jackets.

I hope Big Pharma keeps away, the last thing we need is for the medical establishment to grab control over it and monopolize it, just as they always do.

They already are. I don’t have anything to link you to but when I was following trails online a few weeks ago I definitely came across information about big pharma studying the chemicals in Kratom. They’re definitely working on something. And IMO this is why there is now so much negative news reporting on Kratom. I first discovered Kratom about 10 years ago and the internet is a different place now. They’ve been combing it and changing algorithms to put the “approved” info to the top. Independent rogue info now gets buried. So now it’s so much harder to find positive information on Kratom and there’s a huge lobby working to demonize it and get it banned to close the gap in the pain market. They can’t have people taking care of themselves without enriching “them” in the process.

The black market is anyone selling prescription meds without a prescription. Yes there are some hoops here to see a lot of the more trusted vendors which helps keep that info more protected more than anything. But there are also some other forums with different “rules” that might be worth checking as well? Drugbuyersguide is one. They allow shilling and vendors can post also so keep that in mind.

Honestly I see quite a few pharmacies in your country that sell lowers level pks without an rx but will only ship within your country, which would be impossible here in the states. I’m a bit envious.

@BeeBonnet Drugbuyersguide is pay to play, I think it costs 20 bucks to get access. I made an account there to look around, and the very first thing that happened was various vendors welcomed me and offered their menus. I'm pretty sure only their US to US vendor section and two other categories are locked behind a pay wall. There are many sources that are not locked down at all. I think they allow Schedule I drugs and other stuff that's not really allowed here also. I just didn't have time to establish a presence there, I'm here already. Everything I need is here.

Can these be found in head shops and gas stations, etc.??? I see kratom products at these places but there is so much different variety my eyes glaze over, and the clerk is usually no help, just wanting me to buy something and leave

@GlenRunciter Yes they are all over head shops and gas stations. They come in square cardboard blisters of four
like this. There are 17,000,000 different brands.

Right , just to clarify, I was referring to just these two specific alkaloids discussed in this thread: pseudoindoxyl and the 7OH (sp?)....sorry I wasn't clear in my original post

I finally got the 20mg psuedoindoxyl tabs I was waiting for, and was very surprised to learn they are not good at all for euphoria compared to 7OH. When I first tried 7OH pills a few months ago, I was blown away at how good I felt, it's very comparable to oxycodone or morphine in euphoria, psuedo is different. I made a post, did a load of research on reddit, Almost everyone that takes pseudo by itself says about the same thing, psuedo is not very euphoric. 7OH has a very euphoric buzz, and I certainly did not get that with the pseudoindoxyl. It's just not there. If you want to feel better, 7OH is the one to use, I would not recommend peudo unless you're only in pain, there it certainly can help. Apparently it doesn't cross the blood brain barrier all that well. What a waste of money. Now I have these pills that can just sit in a drawer. I figured it would somehow be better from what I read about it.

In the meantime I had to get a few more 7OH pills, and there is a particular gas station that has them. The first three or four times I bought them there, the tabs worked Ok. I bought a few more yesterday, and one tablet did absolutely nothing, or barely anything. I look on the back and there is a QR code for the test results. These are supposed 15mg 7OH tabs, but the labs said they were about 8mg per tab. This keeps happening. I can get a decent buzz from 1/4 of a tab if they are actually good.

Take a look at this site, new testing site for kratom products. Some of these brands have the stated dose in the tabs, but many do not. A few products had no 7OH at all

So, I've been using these on and off for several weeks now, here are my notes:

- For me, one 15mg tablet will take away all withdrawal within 15 minutes, YMMV.
also, it does potentiate well with other opioids, including adjuncts like DXM (active ingredient in tussin syrup).

- The taste and texture of the chewable pills is agreeable, which is a nice change. I used to wretch
when I had to drink that abominable, gritty kratom leaf tea.

- The transition from paracodeine (DHC, which is my drug of choice) to pseudo was nearly seamless.

- It's not euphoric, no pink clouds and fuzzies, but it does treat moderate pain effectively.

- Should only be taken on an empty stomach (which is more or less axiomatic for most all other drugs).

- Short half life, I have to re-dose about every 8 hours. This is a PITA, as it requires me to plan when to eat meals
in order to avoid dosing on a full stomach.

- The only adverse effect is a propensity to sweat 1-2 hours after dosing.

All in all, it is a good substitute for milder opioids, not so sure it could stack up against the heavy hitters.
