Its weird I remember what seems like a lifetime ago first coming to this site, before we saw the long term effects of alot of things we are seeing now. I was just trying to understand the meds i was prescribed and came across this site. Now its just such a different world. I am so glad that this community has survived for so long. I know this is probably some nostalgic type rant I'm on but, dang how messed up everything became. It used to be a pain dealing with doctors, well at least for some of my own personal issues but ya know it was like you actually had doctors that had a relationship that I feel like has kind of disappeared. Now going into what is hopefully the end of the pandemic, I wanted to have access to things but now everything is so just disconnected. Anyone else want to go back to those days? lol. I deleted the rest of my rant into how doctors, meds, drugs, technology has changed so drastically since I first came across PR. I probably will wait to get back into the senior thread as to not open up on topics that might not make sense to newer members. But anyways I thought some nostalgic posts about early PR would be fun.

All I can say is that when the internet was first starting up and I found IOP’s, I thought my days of worrying about access to my preferred med were over. I couldn’t begin to imagine what has now taken place. The whole world has turned into “big brother.” Geezus I wish they’d stop taking such “good” care of us…😏

Am watching the series Narcos. Do we EVER learn from the past? The incredible amount of violence and bloodshed that is a result of the whole world’s “war on drugs” is mindblowing. I just can’t believe in this whole international attempt to control the flow of substances that continue to, and likely always will continue to be in demand - that they haven’t learned they will never win? The amount, the cost and the demand is ever increasing. Yeah it blows my mind. I just can’t believe that someone wise enough will start to see that a completely new approach is called for. 🤔

Boy, that's for sure @jaders! I know some of the states are starting to decriminalize drugs, or some of the drugs, but I don't really keep up with that so much, because you have to be able to get them in the first place! So you can legally walk around with 4 or 5 tabs of lsd, or oxy, or whatever, but where can we buy them and know we're getting the real deal and a decent price without getting arrested. I don't see how decriminalizing is helping us much, but perhaps it helps law enforcement by lightening their load. 👮‍♂️👮‍♀️

Yeah. Unfortunately the decriminalization is supposed to be offset by lots more access to good treatment. But that hasn’t happened. Right now it just means the heroin addicts can shoot up with impunity, but of course customz and doctors are
still torturing the folks who don’t want to risk killing themselves in the pursuit of a medicine that enhances the quality of our lives. It’s so backassward even still. It always seems to target the person it shouldn’t and doesn’t target the ones that need targeting. ☹️

I dont think the forum advertises itself with online pharmacies anymore . they used to .

The good ole days. When we had reliable guys in Thailand who sold good benzos at a good price.

I think there are still plenty of good vendors for that group of meds. It's getting thru customz that's gotten to be the hardest part lately, imho...:cautious:

I have all but completely stopped ordering from overseas, but I've had two orders that were counterfeit ordered here in the States. What to do,
what to do? Customs is killing me. But, I don't remember ever having a problem with fakes from overseas. On the bright side of things, the products have become SO EXPENSIVE it's tough to afford them anyway. However, I shan't be deterred. I surely hope this finds y'all doing very well. It's nice to be back.

@jaders Hopefully common sense will prevail. We have started seeing a few shifts in the US with attitudes towards pain meds going in the 'right' direction.
The 'War on Drugs' was just as big a disaster as the 'War on terror', the next time any government even hints at a 'war on (insert here)', we know to be beyond flipping wary. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice.... Time we woke up en masse to these societal disasters.

There are some newer IOP vendors who are using excellent stealth. They are the ones to look for, imho.

I too would be extremely wary of some of the domestics. Two kids in my neighborhood were just found dead in their beds from fake fentanyl-laced oxy. 16 years old. Man that is sad as hell…😰

Just like school health resources give out birth control in high school, they need to start giving out fentanyl test kits. 🤔

Hi Chancer/Jaders, et al,
Do you think the current paradigm shift in society's moral outrage will eventually include and accept people with pain and addiction issues in any meaningful way

I actually DO think it will change. And as said elsewhere - as long as most addiction issues pretty much only affected the poor and minorities, it wasn’t going to get that attention. But the massive amount of middle and upper class white kids who are “using” and dying at pretty alarming rates - to me, is what will cause the shift in attitude, imho. 🤔

@Santa's little helper Yes, I think as more and more people start complaining then things will change.

I had an issue with a GP and complained to my MP and she sorted it very quickly. People just need to let these people know 'we are holding you to accout'. We have got into a bad habit in society were we forget; they work for us, we pay their salaries etc, we just need enough people to be outraged then actually doing something about it and Occam's Razor will do the rest.
