I've been to BoraBora @sweetpea123. It's gorgeous and I loved it. This was back in 1988 or 89 I think? Anyway, we thought we could get away with camping, but the local police always found us and told us it's not allowed. We stayed at the cheapest place we could find and it was not bad at all. The owner always fed us fresh tuna for dinner which I never had and it doesn't taste anything like canned. He also drove us to the prettiest beach Mateira beach, spelling questionable. We snorkled there and many other places. We rode bicycles all over the island. Little hermit crabs crawling all over the beach, so cute. We also went to Rangiroa and Huahine. I am so glad I got to experience that whole deal.

Lovely! Bora Bora! On my bucket list, as is Palau.
I have had the good fortune to live overseas on 5 continents over a 20 yr period before returning home last year. It’s a close tie for me. I think I’d have to say Chongoene in Mozambique, beyond the town of Xai-Xai. The coast of Mozambique is utterly unspoilt, utterly empty, and beautiful. Evenings watching whales making their way southwards, and days wandering completely empty and beautiful heaches. Having said that….there are some island beaches off the east coast of Malaysia, and one or two in Japan that almost take the prize for me..although if forced I’d say Mozambique.

Wow that sounds like an absolute dream!!! Fresh tuna and good snorkeling, how can you beat that?!

Going to have to add Mozambique to my bucket list! There is something so mesmerizing about watching the whales isn’t there? Empty beautiful beaches are the best kind!

If you ever get down to Florida check out St. George Island in the Florida panhandle.
It is absolutely stunning with unbelievably beautiful white sand dunes. With few people around
you really get a sense of Nature’s beauty and power.

A lot of this depends on what you want out of the beach... The recent hurricane did its toll, but Sanibel Island, FL has always been a favorite of our family... It's NOT a smooth sandy beach, it's mostly shells, shells by the billions, you can spend all day shell hunting and it never ends... You can generally see a manatee or dolphin and depending on how calm the water is there can be a ton of stingrays in the shallow water as well... And if you happen to be there during one of the starfish mating seasons there can be no shortage of starfish littering the shallow waters... And sunsets over the gulf are a sight to see... It's going to take years to bring it back to it's glory as it took a direct hit and a ton of buildings are entirely gone and going to have to be rebuilt so we skipped this year, but we will be returning next year as it's become our home away from home...

But, as I said this is not a beach, beach, it's more a nature beach so it might not appeal to those that desire miles of smooth sand and snorkeling water...

Not really beach kinda person. Pantai Ora in Indonesia is lovely. Bali has some good ones too. Palm cove beach in Australia is high on my must visit list.

lots of great beaches but it does depend won what you are looking for, surfing, snorkeling, lounging, or food/beach bars.

Golf shores Alabama, annual ocean front family Christmas vacation. 🎄⛱ Not really into heat so this works. Usually in a newer Phoenix property with indoor pool. Not into crowds either, so once again, this works! We get a nice large condo at a fraction of the summer price. Great ambiance. Great memories 👌

Caribbean Islands, because I can find really good discounts. I prefer scenery rather laying around on a beach though.

Thailand is by far my favourite. It has the most beautiful islands where the beaches are just gorgeous.

I first went there when I was in my 20s and staying in a little hut on the beach was absolutely bliss. If I am ever really stressed I go I am in a beach in Thailand to chill myself out

These are fun to read. Been over 10 years since I been to the beach.

Last year I went to San Diego and stayed at the Del Coronado. It was the best. I enjoyed it with my grown daughter which made it even better.

Hawaii is one of the most beautiful places in the world. I have been to there a few times and the people were amazing as well. It looks like there is a little bit of a backlash now with too much tourism, but they do need the tourism industry. Definitely worth seeing if you can get there.

The most beautiful beach I've ever seen with the clearest water was Moorea in Tahiti. It seemed like miles of coral to explore, perfect water temps. Was there a very long time ago.
