Riviera Maya in Mexico snorkelling with huge turtles and exotic fish.
Unlike Cancun where it’s Spring break style drunkenness we opted for the other side of Mexico..
The resort we stayed I was like a wildlife resort,Everyday there were families of equates raccoon like mammals that came in to the various pool areas and you could feed them from your loungers so Cute!
Huge lizards would lie under your sun loungers to escape the mid day heat it was an absolute dream👌.
Also the resort was very near the Tallum temples where you could watch the sun come up it really was dreamlike.
Unfortunately the ONLY downside is the amount of travelling time from my country to there (around 18hrs) between trains plains and airport connections to the resort.Otherwise I’d go there every year as the staff at the resort were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you,I also loved the fact we had a small pool outside our room door that you could access from the balcony area!.
That’s my BEST holiday/Vacation I’ve ever had and I usually go on vacation 3 times a year but mostly in Europe.

My wife and I are definitely beach people. Luckily we live a reasonable distance from a beach. South Padre Island, Texas. It's a semi hidden gem. It's on the gulf so not the clearest waters or most beautiful beaches but it's very nice. We're there often. It's like home.

Aside from that, we've been to San Diego beaches, Hawaii (Oahu and Maui). Those were absolutely beautiful. Nothing beats Hawaii so far but it is so expensive!

Hoping to try the Mexico resorts this summer. I've heard great things. Might take @Deanzer s advice and go with Riviera Maya, sounds amazing.

I loved big island Hawaii. Jamaica has a bunch of the Sandals resorts, not bad either but hard to really explore outside of it if you prefer to travel that way.

The British Virgin Islands are incredible. The US ones are really nice, like St. Johns, but Tortola and Virgin Gorda (both BVI) are insane.

The Outer Banks in North Carolina are often overlooked. Much more affordable then more popular destinations but amazing swimming weather and such a great beach community.
