Hi everyone

There are so many dog lovers on this forum but not a dedicated thread for them. So feel free to post your dog pictures, dog funnies, throw a question out, offer advice to someone..etc.

Right now I have 2 dogs...

Also, I'd like to hear from any owner that had surgery done to their dog for Laryngeal Paralysis (aka Lar Par)

@snowy, I love dogs, but my lifestyle would not give having one the life they deserve. I would never do that to any animal. I did years ago have my Crumpets a British Terrier mix and she was the Bomb... Slept with me laid full out against me with my arm over her and a cuddler... Sadly she was stuck by a car and had to be put down. After that I switched to a cat as my life got hectic.

I love, love, love dogs and hope I get to a place where I can have another and give it the life he/she deserves. I get so mad at people whom should not be dog owners. Grrrrr.............................

What a great thread. I was the proud owner of a Bull Terrier many years ago. Currently I am not in the position to get another due to work and space at home.

They are a wonderful breed if trained and raised properly - they love kids, cats, other dogs and are "protective of family". They are known as ‘clowns in a dog suit” as they can be stubborn, really bad when they want something and very funny.

You will probably hate me for posting them after a while, but if you ever spend some time with one, you will see. And yes they can also "talk".

They are very unique dogs and I've heard they're one of the best dogs to get if you have children.

I have an addiction to Cocker Spaniels. Had them all my life and just can't resist those soulful eyes and floppy ears.
I even had 5 at one time. Talk about a circus LOL.
Now I only have 2 and they are my babies. Wish I knew how to post pictures, but that's more than my little pea brain can handle.LOL

Animals ARE man's best friend.

Oh yay, @snowy. I'm glad you started this thread. I will come back and post some doggie pictures and stories after I've had more sleep. I've been wanting a thread for the canine lovers for quite a while...was going to call it "The Fire Hydrant" to compliment "The Scratching Post" thread. But this works.:)

I remember when you got a new puppy, how old is he now?

Begun, the cats vs. dogs thread has! Hah! I often think that my dogs are the final fortress between me being able to cope with life, and just totally giving up. You come home from work, the bouncing delight, sheer happiness to see you is awesome. And then, how can you ever let those guys down??? I kind of live my days around them, but the joy they give is a million times more than the work they take.

And I also love catz and bunniez and other furry mammals, but my guys are one of the very few breeds that I can live with without excruciating allergic reactions.

Hi there, my grandmother had cockers. She absolutely loved them. I remember when I was really little they had a couple litters and omg were they the cutest puppies. We ended up with one and named him Sammy. He was an amazing dog and so good with everyone. ?❤️

I have a couple pictures of my babies if anyone cares to see. I had a black lab that passed away 2 years ago. He was a beautiful boy and the beau dog we ever had. But these are some of my favorite photos. We also have a golden retriever / blue heeler mix and then our baby cow is Irish wolfhound/mastiff/st. Bernard. Be is just beautiful. And extremely large lol!! Have a couple of kitties too. View attachment 42783View attachment 42784image.jpegimage.jpeg

Such a wonderful thread. Have 2+ year old female lab. Just adorable and such a stress buster for the entire family.
Here are a few pics of her during one of the festivals. Call 'em different shades of Jenny the Super Lab.

They are the best dogs ever. When my daughter was 2 years old, she would climb all over our lab, look in her ears, put toys on top of the dog and
the dog patiently laid there.

I love rotties :)

My puppy is 130lbs. and about 3 feet tall, and still growing.

Mine is the one on the left.
I'm loving all these photos. I also appreciate the information about different breeds and mixes. Aislyn is an Irish Wolfhound. They are an ancient breed of sighthound and one of the ancestors of the Great Dane.
