Guys, im
Freaked! A friend ordered two bottles of tramadol of 50 each so 100 total and the place that sends it is from Mexico and it’s Express so I know target being placed on the back. They tried to deliver it Sunday but they weren’t home. They left a slip to delivery. The friend has had Covid so her husbands work is near a post office and she sent him down to pick it up. He says he was there like 30 min and they couldn’t find the package and made him step off to the side. They had his DL. After awhile they came back and said they’d deliver it tomorrow which was yesterday. They didn’t say they didn’t have it, they just told him they’d redeliver it tomm. It rained off and on and nobody came to the door. My friend called usps 1800 today inquiring about getting the local phone number and USPS 1800 said we’ll make a case for the missing package. The friend just wanted the phone number. At any rate, rep asked generals about package about what was in it she got caught off guard she said coffee beans or coffee grinds! She filed a case for the missing package and then gave my friend number to called the local post office and spoke to a postmaster. He put my friend on hold after she gave tracking and he said they are still looking for that package. He asked what was in it and my friend said coffee beans! He goes oh that might be what it is. The postal inspector might have got a hold of it because s lot of things coming from Mexico are suspect and people disguise it with coffee beans Because of the smell. I’m thinking oh my gosh it’s just tramadol! She just said coffee in first place because she just got caught off guard when they came to mind. He said I just got a case sent up here but my friend said that was her because she just filed a case. He said don’t worry we should be able to find pretty quick. Why can they find it really quick when they haven’t found it for two days? Like this guy already knows something. Something felt sketchy as shit! My friend called 1800 usps to have them close the case package was found because she didn’t want anymore investigation of the missing package. The whole claim was only up not even 30 min. My friend thinks something is off and Is being setup. Im so worried for my friend because the redelivery request she signed and so did her husband so this whole signing for package has already happened!! Right?? The tracking shows it’s being prepared to be sent back. I’m really really scared! Neither of them have ever been in trouble before. Y’all it was just really sketch and now she’s brought even more attention to it if they weren’t looking at it they are now!! What should she do from here on going forward in this matter? Law low? Don’t answer door? Pickup signature on card already count as signing for?? What’s weird is when she tried to schedule redelivery online for the package they left the redelivery request notice for it said it wasn’t unavailable for redelivery at this time and then it said for these list of reasons but all that displayed was “tech difficulties” over and over. Here is the tracking :

Can promise you no ones going to jail over 100 Trams..

Loosing packages is pretty common like drivers forget to unload it from there vehicle at the end of the shift and it gets placed under a seat and forgot about, happened to me once.. fucking idiots.

They loose shit i woulnd't be streessing tho its 100 pills..

Its not fent.. no ones gonna crash anyones door down over 100 pills, At most they wil get spoken to by law enforcement about ordering drugs online and how its dangerous and fent this and fent that and please tell us more about where you got these pills from yada yada..

Don't know anything about tramadol i ordered fuckin expensive coffee beans that monkeys poop out then people handpick those wash em and sell em to us to making a very expensive coffee, if there was Drugs in that package im shocked and appauled officer! I just wanted coffee beans theres clearly been some kinda of mix up with my order and someones elses!!!!

I would just keep hounding the post office as to how they lost your beans and where the fuck they are :D

I dont think its a controlled delivery at all, i think someone just legit fucked up and lost the pack somewhere.

They need to find out where the carrier put it, It can't be sent back unless they find it first lol

Would be totally less stressed if it weren’t for the last time my friend ordered customs nabbed it and sent a nice little LL. Maybe it flagged the address..it’s such a small amount so not likely to yield an arrest but you never know these days:(

I agree with @littledebbie that there is no way they’re out to arrest someone over 100 tram. I also agree that it’s lost and it sounds like they wanted to buy some time to find it - that’s why they told the hubby they’d deliver it “tomorrow.”

Personally, I’d reschedule the delivery and then I’d probably ignore it until it shows. If the delivery is rescheduled, no one needs to sign for it, right? It’s already obvious you’re expecting something so rescheduling isn’t going to make it look “worse.” Once rescheduled you can watch the tracking for out for delivery?

Knowing a LL came last time is probably what’s making this seem so scary. But I too can practically guarantee that LE has zero time to go after someone ordering a schedule 4 med in that small if an amount and again, if it did get seized they would just send another LL.

Hope you’ll keep us posted on the outcome of this? The one thing I wouldn’t do is sign for it - especially if the delivery person is someone you don’t recognize. Truly tho I think it’s just been lost as well.

Well!!! Pretty sure it was snagged by the postal inspector….friend checked usps informed delivery and see he is getting a letter from Postal Authority. What now? Friend googled a bunch and saw one article where a woman only ordered a 100…took 6 months to arrest because they sent to toxicology state dept which in turn showed it was in fact Tram and she got charged with a felony…so for next 6 months I’m sure my friend will be on edge..this really sucks for him.

This is a nerve wracking situation for sure but I don't understand why the postal authority would send a letter if they were going to try a controlled delivery. Shit at this rate, it'd be easier to walk across the southern border & buy some. I just cannot see much happening over 100 trams unless they're actually trying to crack down on Fentanyl & snagged it that way

I’m lost here. You’re saying that this image is of the letter from the postal authority?

What confuses me is that this image says “current resident?” I have a very hard time assuming that the postal authority would send a serious letter with the generic name “current resident?”

Not saying this isn’t serious but I’m sure not getting the gist here myself? Can you explain this image a bit more? 🙏

@Sunnysky444555 If they're sending a letter over it, that will probably be the end of it. If there was going to be any trouble - a controlled delivery - they'd just show up. In the case with the woman arrested after six months, going to guess they did the CD (they admit themselves in one article I saw they have to do them quickly or people get suspicious), then sent out the substance for testing, then went back and arrested her after results came in. Reason is, my understanding of it is the person HAS to take possession of the package in order to make an arrest. I also saw where they admitted these are very hard cases to make stick. Which brings me to a point I repeat on these boards a lot, and I can point to a few lawyer authors on Amazon I get this from -

If authorities do show up, it is important your friends DO NOT TALK. In the US, your silence can never be used against you, and these are cases where they really need something to substantiate that someone really ordered it. Stay polite and respectful, but limit interactions to, "I decline to make any statements" "Am I under arrest or am I free to go?" and if under arrest "I demand a lawyer." Even if it is the feds saying they just want info - the feds don't prosecute the small cases by their own admission, and they do sometimes show up to talk to buyers (knock-and-talks, they're called). Problem is, they can turn over what you say to state authorities who might prosecute.

Arrests and prosecutions for small amounts of meds are very rare - probably because they are tough cases - but they do happen. Risk of it happening seems heavily tied to the state/region. I don't think I've ever seen a small controlled delivery out of the west coast states. SE states are the riskier ones, GA and MS I know I've seen small ones. I won't name my state, it is SE though, but the smallest CD and arrest I've ever seen came out of the closest large town to me, which freaked me out. It was for a very small amount of Xanax, 30 pills IIRC, might be remembering wrong on amount but it was really small. Even then, I don't think that PD would do that in the current political environment, they've actually changed laws here so first time drug stuff can get totally expunged with a program.

Edit: Also, they need to be careful about making other orders any time soon. I've seen multiple cases where they make the arrest after establishing the history of orders, and one where they used a prior LL as evidence.

That letter is from the US Postal Regulatory Commission, which is independent of the USPS. It's basically the postal service's watchdog and has oversight responsibilities like postal rates. I don't think they deal with anything drug-related.

Anything yet?

Personally, I see nothing really fishy going on. It all looks normal to me - right down to the post office having no clue where it is when your husband went in...

That was Friday. Any update?

Edit: perhaps I'm just confused. What is that mail piece that was uploaded?

Complete honesty: I would have signed the "you missed us. Sign for delivery" form, and waited to see what was up.

Im just confused by that mail image?

DO CONTROLLED DELIVERYS LIKE THIS HAPPEN ALOT? WHAT ABOUT ON NON CONTROLLED MEDICATION LIKE SAY YOUR ORDERING STUFF YOUR YOUR PET HAMSTER THAT HAS AN EYE INFECTION AND NEEDS DROPS OR SOMETHING.

I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST CUSTOMS TO WORRY ABOUT NOW WE HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT LOCAL POSTAL POLICE?

It is almost unheard of to have a controlled delivery for a “personal” amount of controlled meds. By far, the vast majority of these items that come to the attention of customs is that they’re seized and you get sent a letter telling you an item addressed to your home (or P.O. Box, etc.) contained an item that was not allowed.

I guess there are a few instances where a controlled delivery has happened but it’s usually when they either suspect someone of ordering enough to be “distributing, or they just want more info about the vendor. Also it’s quite possible that the size of the town/city you live in likely plays a part. Customs doesn’t prosecute these things - local police do. And in a larger city the local police aren’t interested in spending a lot of time on 100 pills of a schedule 3-4 substance. In a small town they might be more motivated since they have less to do? 🤔

There are a few stories of actual controlled deliveries here on PR if you want to look around.

As well- I have only heard of ONE instance of a non-controlled med ever being confiscated, much less bring anyone to your door.

I hane ordered animal meds repeatedly from IOP’s as have many other folks here. Also many folks order antibiotics and other non controlled substances and those pretty much always make it. Like I said - only heard of one seizure of a non-controlled med and it was confiscated in LA - which is probably the most fascist port of them all.

Just my thoughts.

If you are new to this, you are likely going to get stressed out over some of the difficulties that come into play. But if you need your meds and have no other reasonable resource, so be it. That’s the point of this forum, imho. To help each other be more successful in this endeavor.

All the best to you!!🙏
