@Jen38 Exactly, there needs to be some kind of balance. If an old person, who is CLEARLY in pain and has no history of drug abuse can't get pain pills then why are they even making them? Who is being prescribed them? I went to the doctor's yesterday for a cold that just won't get better and it's been going on for like 2 weeks. I get tested for the flu and Covid and both test negative. I tell them that I've been having the shakes, cold sweats at night, trouble sleeping. All true. And I'm really not drug seeking and only went because my girlfriend said I needed to get checked out cause I'm suffering for so long. And of course they only offer me antibiotics that I already have. I was really hoping for like a little codeine cough syrup or maybe something light like a few tramadol but I should have known better. Not to mention I already had the antibiotics they prescribed me at home. Not even sure what the point is of going to the doctors is anymore. They're like a shitty version of Google.
