Is Cash App a red flag?

I was wondering if people ever use Cash App? I've seen it accepted, but I have never paid with it. Does it have any purchase protection or anything? Or is it completely like sending cash?
I was thinking of setting up and account just in case someone requests it. But I don't want to get scammed.

I think it would depend on your bank. I assume it's like sending cash. They charge your debit card to send the money so I am not sure if banks would have their own policies regarding if they would let you dispute it or not. I would assume it's like cash and treat it like such.

Cash App acts like a debit card vs. Zelle P2P apps. Very different rules and too risky
