Good news! My package finally shook loose and is at my local hub. Of course, it’s on a Saturday!! So I’ll have to wait til Monday.
I’m just so relieved that it moved from J.

No movement for me yet but hopefully It is on the same truck as yours. I bugged my vendor for a reship. I haven't heard back so I will likely email them again.
Glad yours moved though.

Mine is actually a reship!! The original order, made in November, was seized. Got the LL on dec 21. And this is how long it’s taken to get the replacement out.
Kind of a long time when you made the order in November. I’ll wave my magical carrot
for you. I don’t have a wand. But this carrot works just as well. Shake that package loose! …oh great. My carrots didn’t show up. lol

Feeling a bit distraught and defeated. Have 3 letters at NY right now, been there a few days. Life has been incredibly hard on top of this. Could use some good vibes, thanks.

I have two letters at NY now and no movement on either. If you look at the USPS reddit thread apparently a lot of hubs are reaching a critical point.
People order so much junk online now. I wish people would just go back to ordering things they can't get at home through the internet. Now everyone is ordering everyday things like laundry detergent and paper towels every month and it does nothing but back up the mail even more than it already is. Then they wonder why it takes a week to get said paper towels and laundry detergent. If you need tide pods just go to the store on your way home from work... People.

Wow! It seems worse in the mailrooms than it was during xmas. The chicago thread is just as bad. I wonder if they lay off all the added xmas help by now and that's why they're so far behind?
Hard for me to believe these are all seizures tho, and it's not just a backup problem. The MLK holiday likely didn't help.
@rufusshinra99. Definitely true that folks are using mail order a heck of a lot more than before, but even tho it is slowing things down, I sort of feel like the added numbers may help us in this endeavor in the long run. The more there is to deal with, the more difficult it is to search for all the contraband. (Just my rose colored glasses.)
I'm sure pulling for y'all to get some good news this week!

Yea still no movement from my Jan 3rd and Jan 9th orders. Again checking the reddit it seems like no-one is having any movement for the most part. Just had to overpay for an SY order but at least that came in 2 days as agreed upon. It is just so weird that my orders moved very quickly pre Xmas and holidays but since then it has been mayhem for USPS. I think you are right about the seasonal workers thing @jaders not really sure what else it could be.

Same as everyone else. It is basically in a holding warehouse with many many other international orders waiting to be cleared by customs.
There is also a small possibility that they have already cleared customs and is in the distribution warehouse at Jamaica waiting to be picked back up by the USPS domestic mail stream.
The fact that we don't have LLs now makes me think we are just stuck in limbo with thousands of other packages and letters in a massive backlog.

It's definitely a possibility. Usually I receive a LL within a week but I haven't received one yet for either order.

Well, I got my package!
It sat at that hub for longer than usual. Then went to a city with a similar name to mine. Ugh. On Monday, I finally got that sweet alert that it would be delivered TODAY!
Waited all morning. Saw the mail lady pull up and load a box in the box. Then my phone dinged and it was on!!
But it wasn’t on.
The tracking message said no recipient to receive package?!! I checked the box. No yellow slip. So this jerk didn’t even attempt to deliver the package or leave a slip.
Next day, schools were closed due to weather. But I got up and drove to the post office to get my package. Long story short, it was sent away but will come back soon! And they will call me when it gets there!
About midday, I finally got my package!!!!
Today, Thursday, I got a yellow slip in my mailbox post dated for Monday that a package is waiting and can be picked up….
Tl;dr: after sitting in J for waaaay too long, it finally arrived! Anyone else?

My Jan 2nd and Jan 9th packages are still sitting at ISC NY. I am still hoping because I have not received LLs yet but I haven't had letters still for weeks at ISC that haven't been snagged in years so I am starting to lose hope.

My seized package never left ISC New York!
My order placed at the end of November sat in NY ISC. It never went on to Jamaica or anywhere else. No outbound from customs. I received the LL on Dec 21.
The replacement was sent early January. It cleared customs and went on to Jamaica for an extended vacation. Sat there about a week. Then finally kicked out!!
I’ve had one other LL. And it was the same situation. Last stop: ISC NEW YORK.
So, to everyone worrying about love letters, I hope this will ease your mind a bit?!?

One time a few summers ago I had one sit for a month and I was sure it was gone, but it did arrive. Very strange that that happened tho, and have never experienced it before or since.
I also wonder if they're not sending out LL's very often any longer. I'd rather not get one, myself, but it does help to know what happened at least...
