NY Customs 2023 Experiences!

My last one was 4 days and now this one was 6 days between ISC and Queens. There obviously isn't any sort of customs crackdown. Maybe it's just that USPS is so backed up with all their chaos recently? I don't know. Now you know that even up to 6 days is a possibility, though.

Tonight was a big relief.......and totally unexpected. The stress of waiting for another LL to come and the potential scrutiny, the possibility of the 2nd address I've used being burnt, and then thinking about going through all this over again in a few weeks when the vendor reshipped. All that worry immediately evaporated! I'll have built up a pretty good supply with this one assuming it lands fine. I'm going to now be taking a few months break from international ordering and relax for a bit.

Amazon, USPS ect their all backed up atm thanks to the two storms that moved/are moving across the US, I Have an amazon package from ups thats been delayed by 3 days now thanks to weather across the US.

I just checked my tracking and got great news! At least it's great for me and good for others as it indicates that there probably isn't an extra customs crackdown going on. After 6 days stuck at ISC it showed up in Queens tonight! That's the longest I've ever seen!

Sounds like the staff there has been cut just like everywhere. (This is the one place I’d LOVE to see staff cut.)

So true!! A major reduction to CBP....at least the ones checking inbound packages....would be the greatest government cut of all-time. We'd never get so lucky, though! Tonight, though, I'm just feeling good!

It really is! This is especially true after you've resigned yourself to the the dreaded seizure and LL and you checked tracking almost as an afterthought!

Yeah when I checked mine Monday morning I tried to talk myself out of checking since I knew it would just make me mad all over again, but figured I already was about as mad as I could get so there was only one way to go. And what a freakin surprise. You have to keep reading the page over and over to make sure it’s really true…

Problem is not going to be CBP checking your packages for contents the problems going to be the declarations on your packages and the value there in.

Trump just put out 10% tarrifs on every fucking country out there, Any vendor who uses declaration slips and there are a lot of them are going to be raising prices and then your also going to get hit with the import fee depending on where the item was manufactured/declaration ect.

This is going to get REALLY UGLY.

I have a ( Adult Content ) Item coming from Australia * I Had no idea it was coming from down under till after it shipped * But the item was made in china, so my tarrifs if I have any are going to be 25% due to where the item was actually made.

This is going to get SO UGLY. SO many people are going to be hit with added fees they had no idea were coming.

CBP Is going to be a fucking warehouse of packages just sitting waiting for tarrifs to be paid, this is going to cause major backups imho. The time its going to take to collect the fee's then release a package on a MASSIVE SCALE are you kidding.

I'm glad we have domestic vendors cause at this point their going to be about the same price as international once these tarrifs start really effecting things.

And this is just a surface look at what's happening I'm not even trying to dig very deep on exactly how bad things are going to get cause honestly I DON'T WANT TO KNOW lol

It’s definitely going to shake things up. I do wonder how it’ll be collected. I use temu a fair amount. Be interesting to see how that goes as well. The Deminimus (sp?) loophole got closed too…

Two folks (myself included) just had items get thru after much longer than usual. One was six days, mine was four . No knowing these time frames any longer…but you’re definitely still in the game, imho.

This is part of the reason that I'm going to take a break. Let the dust settle and then see where things are at.

As we've seen recently with some of these time frames, I think you still have a decent shot. Mine came out last night after 6 days in customs and it's humming along in the USPS system now. Good luck!
