NY Customs 2023 Experiences!

@jaders I got one went from LA to Michigan with no scans between. Very strange as their is no direct flights or routes between here and there and a ground package would always stop somewhere. But it made it in less then a day from La so it hopped a flight or 2, But no scans.

I think this is a the new and improved post delivery starting to take effect.
 
For those of you monitoring the NYC entry point, I just had a record: 6 days from OPP to delivery. Nothing controlled, but not readily available stateside. Also not mine, but for a family member. Neither I nor they had actually checked the tracking, figuring it would be two weeks at best. So much of this is just random chance, but thought I'd share. Damn - I wish that were mine, and something needed.

Nothing for me personally but stuff seems to by flying thru lately based on vendor thread reports. YAY!

Nothing for me personally in a few weeks. All my outstanding orders landed. I might put in another order if things are sailing thru, though!
 
Mine from a few weeks ago that I thought was a goner has now shown some life but still doing weird stuff. Showed up in generic Metro after Jamaica with late scans, then has taken a leisurely trip to the local sorting center where it has now sat for 5 days. Hoping I don’t get an empty box with tape. 30 days since it was sent.

That is really strange tracking. Be cautiously optimistic but don't be surprised. The first seizure that I had was pack that sat in customs for nearly a month before it came out. I was very hopeful until it arrived and I found that it was re-taped with CBP tape. They had confiscated the contents of the package and left me with a nasty little note inside.
 
Yeah well now it’s just sitting at the local PO, a week now. Has anyone ever have the delivery scan skipped? I have a POB so I don’t go there unless I know something has arrived.

Absolutely- they miss scans all the time. I was completely freaked out about a package that sat in customs for days but turned out it had skipped all the scans until “out for delivery!”

@Mick2 - what you described I have only heard of that happening in LA. Never ever heard of it at any other Poe. Hopefully that hasn’t changed…
 
Back again after a year. Presently in OPPS from Mumbai IN. Last time it was shipped from US but IN Tracking number still provided and then disappeared after an unusually fast delivery. Still don't know what to make of that but this time guy says it's shipped from IN, no more US to US. Wish the price went back to where it was before the US to US experiment.
 
@jaders Indeed it was. I was literally rationing crumbs and keeping one full dose on hand in case I had a REALLY bad flare up. I'm going to order again soon. If we're in what seems to be a good window, best to take advantage. (please weigh in on your JFK customs experiences so we can crowd source reconnaissance!). As for my order that was lost and precipitated these crazy two months, still no LL.

Also, I am going to make a concerted effort to have a real emergency supply on hand. In the past, I've used dwindling supplies as a mark that an order needed to be placed. Long, long overdue.
 
These posts are making me feel incredibly happy. Has anyone had anything come thru from Thailand?

I totally understand. I think I'm kind of in the same boat right now. I've had a few LLs over the past 4-5 months (3) and I'm really not keen on getting extra scrutiny. I already think that the first address I used got flagged. I only have this one order that's in ISC NY out there pending right now. If it doesn't pop out of customs I'll try to land a reship because I've already paid and the vendor will reship. Either way, though, I think I'm going to take a break on international ordering for a while after this one.

If so, I don’t think it was your address that was flagged. I think the sender is being targeted..

Shipping from IN very fast this time around. I see no 2 day Customs delay. Tomorrow, if I'm lucky.

I usually have a lot of luck via Chicaco customs when it goes through there-- though I haven't had many issues with New York either. I don't think they're paid enough to care as much as we think they do.

Actually you’re one of few I see saying positives about CHI. Seems like a lot of folks lose items there. I prefer NY over anywhere else.
 
I mentioned on another thread, but wanted to post here as well. Packages have been flying through. We're talking 7 days from ordering to arriving.
