Post Requirement Every 90 Days to Retain Senior Status/Access

@heavymetalviolet It’s even scarier now. After the verdict yesterday and the very p off people, I’m very afraid we could face a civil war. No matter who wins the general election, there will be trouble. Time for the bunker. Too bad I don’t have one.
You aren't wrong. I live in a very volatile area and I've been thinking for some time now we could be facing a civil war, and especially with the election. Now that yesterday's events have happened, it's already becoming downright frightening. People are openly making comments that they will "do what is necessary" and "stand by their beliefs no matter what" to put it mildly. I wish to heaven we could afford to move from here, and yes, I wish for a bunker. At this point even that may not be enough.

@caramelt Do you need to be a Senior Member before you can get any other level. I have over 200 posts but am a Lapsed Senior Member. I am guessing I need you get my status back before it updates to Honorable?
It's weird, no matter how many posts you have, when you lapse, you're simply called a Lapsed Senior Member. There's no such thing as a Lapsed Honorable Member or anything like that. If you were a Honorable Member before you lapse, you'd still be called a Lapsed Senior Member, and then once you've made the 30 posts to regain Senior Status, you go right back to being a Honorable Member.🤷‍♀️
Is it better to be a fallen peasant, or a fallen king? This is a question for the philosophers.

edit: Before I made it, I was unaware this would be my 200th post. I feel I must meditate on this fact for a while.
I've been away for many months now and I've had a revelation. This wasn't significant at all.
What a waste of time.

Hey everybody. Just checking in. Hope all are doing well.
I have a hard time believing it has been 3 1/2 yrs since my husband was killed.

The elderly man who was at fault, has since died, as well as another person who was critically hurt in the same catastrophic event.
That 3rd injured gentleman, who died recently, has been in the hospital & assisted living all this time.

So unfortunate and so much suffering due to one selfish elderly man who decided he would drive for breakfast, even though he was not supposed to be anywhere near driving a vehicle.

Nothing can be done about it now. Acceptance is part of the grieving process. Those left behind, after a lifetime with someone, are forced to cope as best they can. What is really sad, in my case anyway, is that I still have not even attempted to clean off my husband's dresser top. I just don't want to.
The dead never leave us. Not a minute goes by that I don't miss him.

He was such a good guy and I miss his company :(

I don't think so as the ones who want the Civil War are cowards and the worst of the worst are in jail. And the rest of them are afraid of jail. I personally know not one person who would go out into the street and fight their fellow citizens.

@KC67 It's 30 posts to regain access to Senior Section if you've lost it. I'm not sure how many you need to gain it in the first place - I'm guessing it's 60 if you've seen that number mentioned somewhere.
Thank you so much for clarifying that! I knew I'd read about having 30 somewhere. That makes sense~ I'm excited because I'm getting close- LOL!

It's really scary out there. I live in a very progressive area and I was slow to catch on that there REALLY ARE people who would want to start a civil war. Just the realization that there are people who think like that scared me enough!

I had some interesting scenarios I could have posted during my downtime. I’m going to try to avoid that this time once getting to senior again!

Hi everyone, open question, if I met the Senior reinstatement requirements, how long before I can see/access the Senior section?

I got. 90 day warning and I’m supposedly a senior for life And can’t be demoted. Any help mods?

It's been a minute and I wanted to come on to see old friends and see how everyone has been. Thinking of you @grannyof2boys ! Im so so sorry to hear about the loss of your husband. :brokenheart:

Hoping to pop on more often and check in. Peace ☮️

@Sheena
thank you for those kind words. Hard to believe he is not ever coming back home.
our wedding anniversary is Aug 3, so I am prepping my emotions, knowing what may happen to my mental state.
(I do a lot of crying, it just is what it is  )
We would have been married 51 years.

Good to see you Sheena. Hope you are doing well :)
