Okay I know it's not Coltrane or Miles Davis (both phenomenal) but I've always loved the album I had of these two:
How about Kenny G? Just kidding, please do not have me banned from the forum.
Aside from some of the GREAT suggestions above, maybe try some Coleman Hawkins, definitely check out Charlie Parker, Charles Mingus and Willie Dixon. Also, although it is sort of a subset of jazz, Annie Ross if you like cool vocals (I believe she still performs every Tuesday at the Metropolitan Room in Manhattan).

This is a good one for us here. Check this out @<i><u><a href="https://pharmacyreviewer.co/forum/member.php?u=31969" target="_blank">Gman</a></u></i> if you get the chance.
Kind regards,
M
By the way, I have forgotten how to put up the actual video instead of just the link so if someone could possibly instruct me on this I would really appreciate it.
Thanks,
M
When I see this thread I have read "The great @Jazie thread" I have taken a recent interest in deeper blues than what I have heard on the radio and am veering towards some Jazz to unwind. Miles Davis is the only one that I am familiar with. And its great feel good music.I am finding that I really like old old blues and jazz, I want to say from the 30s and 40s. I know they are 2 different genres but there are many crossovers so to speak. I have to get away from what Ive listened to as an adult except the grateful dead, the dead is my go-to music for all moods.
Im going to pop in here and pay attention to names you all post.

Speaking of the Warfield, here's Jerry Garcia and David Grisman doing the Miles classic in 91. There's a whole album of Garcia / Grisman jazz, also called So What, which is just flat out nasty. My favorite of their albums together, and I like them all. I think playing with a musician of Grisman's caliber made Jerry realize he better bring it.
Herbie Hancock (p)
Wayne Shorter (sax)
Stanley Clarke (b)
Omar Hakim (dr)
Thank you, I will definitely check it out. At first I thought it might be a duo that Jerry had called the "Grateful Dawgs" but after I listened to it(very good) its mostly just 12 bar blues tunes.
