How many of you guys use your real name and address? I always have because I thought it would look suspicious to the mail person if I started getting packages with a different name on them. Now I’m wondering if I’m being stupid or not. I have never used a PO Box or remailer either, but haven’t needed to so far. Would love some of your thoughts on this subject!

I’ve always used mine 🤷‍♀️

For awhile I had a PO Box so I didn’t have to listen to my husband bitch, but got tired of paying for it.
my husband is so nosy too I have to try to intercept ALL my packages before he can get his grubby little paws on them
Ugh! We only have one mailbox key and since he gets home first, he insists on having it. Every time I get a package, he’s got a smart ass comment to make.

My husband better just be grateful because these meds are just as much for his well being as they are for my own 😂 keeping me calm haha

I think maybe I need to remind mine of this lol. Does he really want to put up with me when I’m anxiety ridden and haven’t slept in days?? I think not lol

I think it's definitely best to use your own name for sure. You're less likely to look like you're up to no good than if you're trying to pass off this activity onto a fake name. As far as addresses - that part I don't think matters. People send stuff to other folks addresses all the time for several reasons. I send mine to a friend's house just because she's home all the time so less chance of items being "pirated." But my housemate's son sends his stuff to OUR house since we're home more than he is as well.

If you do get some seizures I definitely recommend trying to use an alternate address for the reship altho many folks get the reship to the same address anyway. I've seen some folks "change" their name just by using initials or a shortened version of their first name as well. I've done that myself after a seizure, but who knows.

The less you look like you're trying to "deal" drugs, the better. If you look like a somewhat naive citizen who just is trying to get medicine from elsewhere because it's less expensive - LE is not going to bother you, imho.

Just my thoughts...

that’s kind of where my thinking is at as well! Keep things on the down low haha that’s smart to use a nickname or something though I will keep that in my back pocket

I had to get a P.O box because I buy so much online and most shipping software companies (used by so many smaller vendors, eBay and esty sellers etc….) apparently autocorrect my address to a similar street in a similar town (albeit, across the state. Folks at that address rarely returned the items to the sender and as they were shipped to address printed on label (but not address I gave vendor) by law, they apparently can keep it. No way to change “suggested correction” being offered in the software, so I spend hundreds a year on a P.O. Box one town over . I have NEVER USED it for any internationally procured meds though- I think because sometimes I need to sign for something , and sometimes I dont? also, depending on payment, some methods need billing and shipping consistent. Probably should try

I've read several times on MesoRx (bodybuilder's forum) where the vendor blamed the recipient for having his package seized by not using his real name. I never understood how/why that would be the case. Does USCBP have software that checks every package's name and address against postal records for a match? According to what some have posted above where they had a package sent to a friend's house but with their name on it — either CBP does no such name/address matching or they only do it randomly.

Always used my real name and address / Po Box. Doubt the authorities would appreciate me acting like 007

It’s an interesting question. After digging around on here, I started to panic about this and started researching paid redelivery services..but got all confused and gave up. I’m lucky on two fronts- I work at home 3 days per week so with a little planning I am always the only one home to collect. We also get a lot of mail for ex tenants who haven’t changed their address which is helpful.
However, when I get no tracking number (like last time with a domestic delivery) it’s slightly more worrying. I did use a different name due to stuff I read on here about plausible deniabilty. Like an idiot I used my dogs name and a family friend surname- which would probably be noticed if someone else in family took delivery. Talk about dumb.
I think though, like others have said, people send packages by the million every day, and especially in the case of in-country deliveries, you’d be very unlucky to have a problem. I think I may continue to use (maybe an ex tenants) name, but continue to deliver to my home.

That is complete BS on the part of Mesorx, imho, unless perhaps the person puts some stupid name like Stud Smith, or something like that? Like I said - folks send items to other folks addresses all the time! There's nothing illegal about doing it, so there would be absolutely no reason an item would get seized or even checked because a person sent an item to a friend's or any other address Heck, if someone traveled to another city or state for an extended period they could easily have items sent to the new place all they wanted.

That makes zero sense to me as well. Sounds like the steroid sellers might be using too much of their own product?

I do use a box at a postal company sometimes. It's very convenient because if something does need to be signed for (which I avoid if I can) the person at the place receiving it will sig,n so it's not a problem. The company has a regular street address too, so it's not a problem for anyone to deliver to it either. So far it's been a very easy and convenient situation instead of having to worry about items stolen off my porch, etc.

Using ex-tenant name sounds interesting. If things go wrong thats a nice plausible excuse. Of course they will check payment trail. They usually won't waste so much time and resources on small fries, it's the big suppliers they want.

I have a real nosy mail lady. One of my friends sent a package to my house for my dog and because it wasn’t the normal name she took it upon herself to turn it in. Opened up a bunch of my dog’s toys 🤦🏼‍♀️

@Slantedfloor ok this is smart! Is there a limit to how much they can get? I remember we tried to leave the Amazon workers cash tips around Christmas and they were all scared to take it

@sweetpea123 hard with amazon because we probably get 5 deliveries a week from them and they all are different! I think by law the postal guys arent supposed to take monetary gifts, but ours always does! Now, the garbage and recycling guys leave us a kind of "gentle reminder" printed cards with their names on them. Considering all the ridiculous tips im guilted into giving for ridiculous things all year...I'm more than happy to tip these guys....BUT, this year we didnt get any thank you cards (which to me serve as a confirmation they got). We leave taped well with big bow on inside of can lids, (lids are shut) they cant get nixed up w bags) . I am worried maybe some smart thief can drive on the obvious pick up day in middle of night and swipe the cash gifts. Next year i'll email the company to see if there is a safer way. Maybe they got them? But its two different sets of guys who always leave a little "thank you" in mailbox on two different days, and theyve never not acknowledged the gifts.

I previously have used a commercial mail receiving & forwarding agency when I was traveling for a one year period and had no permanent abode. I did not, however, use it for any illicit purposes. I was considering once again to sign up with one for the purpose of receiving meds from overseas pharmacies. But, after reading all of the fine print, what I learned was very discouraging. First of all, they make you fill out a USPS Form 1583, which will provide a paper trail right back to your door. Next, they state "In order to receive packages imported to a U.S. mail center location, you must get expressed written consent from the mail center operator, who will need a description of the items that will be imported. This is to ensure compliance with U.S. import regulations." They have a 'Do Not Ship List' which lists items that "are either prohibited or may require a license or additional documentation." It includes "Prescription & veterinary medications prohibited. Non-prescription medications are restricted." This is true for both international and domestic shipments. None of this would worry me too much for domestic shipments, but neither am I worried too much about receiving domestic shipments directly to my house. But for international shipments, it would appear to be unworkable.
