Oh and did I mention I forgot my seed phrase for a crypto wallet and then recalled I had stored it in pieces in muliple locations?! Talk about overcomplicating things. Put it all together and restored my finances and my sanity lol. Maybe the barter system was better after all ahahah

I started working out in the ten minute spaces I have between clients at work. I'd pop into the dusty, long-neglected VR headset I picked up at the beginning of the pandemic and do some quick virtual workout - great music, fun movements, 3D vistas from beautiful places all over the world. I'd be transported for 8 minutes at a time. Then, I'd quickly change out of my suddenly sweaty top and be ready to see the next client. It was really energizing to just fit in a bunch of micro-workouts like that, in the middle of an otherwise sedentary day.

I don't know if it's okay to comment on other people's shares, so, please forgive me if it's not okay, but when I read this, my heart went out to you so hard. My physical heart also started beating faster, as I can really imagine how scary this might be. I'm so glad that you were able to put it all back together. Whew! Congratulations!

My younger sister (who is older like me) is coming to visit today for 2 nights. She is bringing her SO of the last 5 years who I've never met. House is clean and tonight:s dinner is already made. We are not super close as she is a bit of a drama queen but I love her and will enjoy seeing her.

I've been smiling for most of the past few days! Got home from the airport a few hours ago, one of my closest friends who currently lives a few states away asked if we could come out for the weekend and help set up a dinner and engagement party to be ready when for them when they came home. My wife and I flew out there with his mom, who is like an aunt to me. I love any excuse to fly out to denver and visit a lifelong friend and can't turn down a good party.
During dinner they took us aside and asked if we'd be a part of his marriage, without getting too far in the weeds of cultural and religious meanings they asked if we'd be kumovi in their wedding. In the Eastern Orthodox church it's similar to being best man but specifically you're asking someone to symbolically join their family.

A very joyous and fun last few days

I'm smiling today because only part of our roof peeled off, taking most of the lanai screening and metal with it - from Hurricane Milton. But no one was hurt around here, and the roof can be replaced. We have the best neighbors ever. Five guys were over here the next morning, cutting off bent and hanging metal and securing the rest of it well enough until we could get a roofer out here. I'm also smiling because my banana and papaya trees are still standing as well as most everything else I planted a year ago!

Love hearing about neighbors supporting one another, communities holding strong during such difficult times. Glad you're alright as well! Very scary hurricane. Glad it wasn't worse....

I have nephews who are 3 year old twin boys with ASD. They are mostly nonverbal, they usually are content just playing by themselves. They sometimes ignore people when being spoken to, and basically do their own thing. In other words, they give no f***s, and I have never gotten a greeting from either one. It’s almost like the more I try to engage with them, the more the ignore me.

This morning, I took a pot of chili to my sister’s, and both boys ran up to me, threw their arms up and one said , “I love you!”

That made me smile!

My kids who are teenagers told me how much they appreciate me for all the things I do for them(single parent) Got big kisses and a love you from both of them. So sweet I was crying after school drop off. But boy am I smiling now

My 6.5 year old dog learning new tricks. She now knows how to "shake" with her paw. Didn't think at her age she would learn something new. It's sweet.

Met a fellow classical guitarist interested in duets, a local coffee shop owner way out in the sticks. Serendipitous trip.
