This was a rewatch from a few years ago - but the other day I watched 1917 - the Sam Mendes film about 2 young British soldiers in the trenches of WW1 who were given a task of delivering a message to across enemy lines in order to save 1600 troops from walking into a trap.

If you've not seen it - it's well worth a watch - and the amazing thing about the movie is that it looks like it's filmed in 1 single shot, so you get a genuine sense of watching the events unfold in real time.

just watched it last night. pretty intense

Truth
played on Game TV last night
The film depicts the controversy over a 60 Minutes segment that questioned George W. Bush's military service in 2004. It stars Cate Blanchett as producer Mary Mapes and Robert Redford as anchor Dan Rather, who faced accusations of bias and forgery

The Biopic of Amy Winehouse - Back to black.

I like biopics and true story based films 😊
Have not seen it yet, did they offer Amy any kind of justice
She's a gem and the trolls went hard on her
It was quite fair IMHO, but there are some parts that were magnified as well as others did not show. In any case was clearly stated that she was an artist like no other. She had trouble dealing with fame, never wanted it but I guess that's the price they pay for popularity.

I watched Hitman last weekend. It was worth watching once it hits a streaming service. I can say the same about The Fall Guy . However, I found The Fall Guy to be better. It had some funny moments in it .

I watched the new "Bevery Hills Cop: Axel F" on Netflix. It was TERRIBLE. Everyone is rating it highly, but I'm guessing that must just be because of nostalgia. I also hated the "Coming to America" sequel from a couple of years ago. Eddie Murphy really needs to stop ruining the memory of all of his best movies. I'm expecting a new woke "48 Hours" next year

Aiming for one of the most famed records in sports history, a pair of very different baseball players hit home runs at an impressive rate. Roger Maris, a reserved sort, is much less popular than his hard-partying New York Yankee teammate Mickey Mantle, the player who many observers think will be the one to challenge Babe Ruth's record of 60 home runs in one season. But in the summer of 1961, Maris surges ahead of Mantle, making a run at Ruth's mark.

I just watched the new Deadpool. It wasn`t the best of the 3 i.m.o. , but was still funny . That`s if your into that kind of humor .
