@BlueBell we eat a green salad with dinner pretty much every night. I like romaine, red pepper, sweet onion, cucumber, sunflower seeds, a bit of goat cheese or blue cheese, and an olive stuffed with a garlic clove. Instead of premixed dressing we just use olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Wow that does sound like a tasteful salad, @Blackbird123

The dark lettuce is good and like you say Romane is yum, I like the mix of spinach and leafy greens they are really good and healthy too.

Some folks do not like slads but i do.
I have purchased the goat cheese in the deli dept of the grocery store.............
I actually enjoy the cheese........So many things to blend and mix into them that makes them really good.

Fruit, blueberries are best but you can also use strawberries or blackberries. Completely transforms a boring salad. If you are feeling naughty then a slice of garlic bread but its much healthier to have mackerel fried in a small amount of vigin olive oil (completely underrated fish). Then a spoonful of Apple Cider Viniger over the salad instead of salt.
